Collaborations
- As One Ministries works closely with the Department of Social Services Workfirst Program, which
provides volunteers to our agency.
- We have agreements with the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain free North
Carolina Identification for our homeless clients, using the As One Ministries address, as long as we
provide the necessary vital records. This allows our clients to have a mailing address and an
address for employment purposes.
- We have an agreement with St. Michaels Thrift Store that allows us to provide clothing vouchers for
our clients.
- We work with Gaston County Access to provide transportation to our clients attending Gaston
College. We also provide gasoline vouchers from local churches.
- Crisis Assistance Ministry’s not only provides office space but assist us with obtaining medications
and food items for our program.
- Second Harvest Food Bank, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Firehouse Fish Camp, Highland School of
Technology, and various volunteers assist with providing food items for our building.
- As One receives financial support from local churches, private foundations, and from various private
donors.
- The Gastonia Police Department conducts our Homeless Community Watch Meetings and we work
closely with Gaston County Police regarding our clients.
- We are a Gaston County “Grass Roots” organization dedicated to the homeless, poor, and
disadvantage citizens of our community and we are more than willing to work with any agency and/or
organization to meet their needs.
