As Executive Director of As One Ministries, Inc., I bring you
Greetings.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website. We are
very excited about being able to use this form of media to share
both informative and helpful information about our ministry of
“Helps” and “Change” which has the ultimate goal of helping our
homeless clients return to self-sufficiency. Whether by giving out
bus tickets, toiletries, making rehab referrals or other supportive
services, we want to be a “one stop” center for our clients. We are
so grateful for God’s favor and blessings upon our ministry, since
opening our building in November of 2003.
Starting at a local church as Fresh Start Ministry, to being run out of
the trunk of my car, to our present location on West Airline Avenue,
He has truly blessed us. AOM currently assists 50-70 people daily
and acts as case manager (and life coach) for 21 persons/family
members in 12 housing units. It has successfully managed 18 client
disability cases.
AOM has one full-time paid employee, one part-time paid case
manager, and one or two volunteers per day.
Our Housing First Program, which provides permanent housing for
chronically homeless individuals, is off to a great start with four
individuals being housed in area apartments. These individuals
are well on their way to complete self-sufficiency, by obtaining
necessary supportive services, education, and employment
opportunities.
Housing First program currently has 4 residents and has had 10
return to self-sufficiency. Second Chance, which allows us to house
individuals and families, currently has 8 units housing 7 individuals
and a family of 7 members.
AOM has helped over 3,000 homeless individuals since 2003.
Since beginning its housing programs in 2005, it has housed 32
people. 10 of 11 graduates from housing programs have remained
independently housed.

that it will be educational as well as beneficial to you. Let us hear
